Cape May Point Lighthouse

The lighthouse at Cape May Point has been restored by the Mid-Atlantic Center for the Arts.  In addition to an orientation center and a gift shop, the lighthouse offers the visitor the opportunity to climb the 218 steps to the top.

The Emlen Physick Estate

Tours of the Victorian mansion at 1048 Washington Street are available all year -- weekends only in the winter.  The house, designed by Frank Furness and finished in 1879, is furnished with a wide array of Victoriana.
The Fudge Kitchen

Meg visited the Fudge Kitchen location on the Promenade.  There is another Cape May location on the Washington Street Mall but Meg prefers the one on the boardwalk because of its proximity to skee ball.   Fudge figures prominently in all of Meg's adventures.   She sticks with classic vanilla but the Fudge Kitchen offers a variety of flavors all year long.
Sunset Beach

There are very few spots on the east coast where you can watch the sun set over water.  Sunset Beach at the end of Sunset Boulevard in Cape May is one.  While you're there to watch the sunset, search for Cape May diamonds on the beach and check out the concrete ship, Atlantus, that ran aground in 1926.  Meg likes to sit on the patio at the Sunset Beach Grille.
Although The Parsonage B&B in Cape May is fictional, Meg does visit many real places in Cape May.  Because she visits the town in January, she doesn't get to experience all that Cape May offers but she does manage to hit some high spots.
Places Meg Visits in Cape Mayhem
The Ugly Mug

The Ugly Mug has a colorful history tied to the mugs displayed on its ceiling.  The restaurant and bar stays open all year -- including the six week period between New Year's and Valentine's Day when a lot of Cape May restaurants take a break.
